About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety and Health Officer (SHO) to join our team at ACTER TECHNOLOGY MALAYSIA SDN. BHD.' in Kuala Lumpur. As a full-time SHO, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust health and safety practices across our construction projects, ensuring the wellbeing of our employees and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered Safety and Health Officer (Green Book Holder) certified by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Malaysia.
  • Over 2 years of hands-on experience in implementing and monitoring Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) management systems in compliance with OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967.
  • Skilled in hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
  • Experienced in conducting safety audits, toolbox meetings, emergency drills, and employee safety training.
  • Strong knowledge of local safety regulations, ISO 45001, and environmental health standards.
  • Proven ability to lead safety teams and promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization.

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety and Health Officer or a similar role in the construction industry
  2. Thorough understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with all levels of the organization
  4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive and analytical approach
  5. Proficient in using relevant health and safety software and reporting tools
  6. Relevant safety and health certifications, such as NEBOSH or OSHA, would be an advantage
