Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor the company's Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) at the construction site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Enforce compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA 1994), Factories and Machinery Act (FMA 1967), and other relevant legislation.
  • Deliver safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and training to workers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit safety reports, accident/incident reports, and investigation findings.
  • Liaise with local authorities (e.g. DOSH, CIDB) and attend site safety meetings with consultants and clients.
  • Maintain safety records and documentation, including permits, inspection logs, and PPE checklists.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and good practices among all site personnel.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, and recommend preventive measures.
  • Ensure fire prevention, emergency response, and first aid measures are in place and well communicated.

Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Site Safety and Health Officer (SHO) Green Book from DOSH.
  • Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in construction safety.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian safety and health regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety reporting tools.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM6, RM7,500.00 per month
