About the role

As the Assistant Kitchen Operation Manager at Vivo Food Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. This is a full-time position based in Johor Bahru, Johor, where you will work closely with the Head Chef and Kitchen Manager to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the kitchen.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assist in the planning and coordination of all kitchen activities, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery
  2. Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to maintain the highest standards
  3. Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and hygiene protocols
  4. Manage inventory, ordering, and budgeting for the kitchen
  5. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery
  6. Troubleshoot any issues that arise in the kitchen and implement solutions
  7. Contribute to the development and enhancement of kitchen operations and procedures

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
  2. Proven track record of managing a busy kitchen operation
  3. Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team

  5. Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
  6. Proficiency in inventory management and budgeting
