About the Role

We're seeking an experienced
Back of House (BoH) Consultant
to join our healthcare planning and design team. This specialist role focuses on the
functional design, planning and operational integration
of hospital support areas — including
logistics, deliveries, waste management, laundry, kitchen, pathology and CSSD
.

You'll work alongside architects, engineers and clinical planners to ensure that every back-of-house system operates efficiently, safely, and seamlessly within the broader hospital design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and layout design for hospital support departments.
  • Develop workflows and service diagrams for logistics, waste, laundry, meals, and sterile supply.
  • Coordinate with project teams to integrate operational and technical requirements.
  • Provide input into BIM/Revit models and design documentation.
  • Advise on AGV/AMR systems, pneumatic tubes, and other automated logistics systems.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and design review workshops.

About You

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent.
  • 2–7 years of experience in hospital logistics, facilities design, or healthcare planning.
  • Strong understanding of hospital BoH operations (CSSD, kitchen, laundry, waste, etc.).
  • Experience with
    Revit
    ,
    BIM
    , or similar coordination tools.
  • Knowledge of
    healthcare design standards
    preferred.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
