Our client "Lowell Builders Sdn. Bhd." is seeking a Purchasing Executive (Construction) to join their team

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in the construction industry? Join our client's growing team as a Purchasing Executive and play a crucial role in ensuring cost-effective procurement and timely delivery of materials for construction projects. This position offers a chance to develop your skills in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing?
  • Process purchase requests: Assist in reviewing and processing Purchase Requisitions from various departments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers: Identify potential suppliers, obtain competitive quotations, and assess their suitability based on price, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Negotiate with suppliers: Use your communication skills to secure the best pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules for the company.
  • Manage procurement documentation: Prepare and issue Purchase Orders, maintain organized records, and ensure all supporting documents are in place.
  • Coordinate deliveries: Work closely with suppliers, logistics providers, and site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor order status: Track undelivered items and follow up to prevent project delays, resolving any supply or quality issues that arise.
  • Support reporting and improvement: Contribute to procurement reporting, documentation, and process improvement initiatives.
Who are they looking for?
  • Educational background: Diploma or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, demonstrating your foundational knowledge in the area.
  • Relevant experience: At least 2 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the construction industry, showcasing your practical skills and industry understanding.
  • Strong procurement skills: Proficiency in sourcing, supplier negotiation, and procurement processes, enabling you to make effective purchasing decisions.
  • Organizational abilities: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities and deadlines efficiently.
  • Team player: Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude, ready to work effectively with various departments and external partners.
  • Language skills: Proficiency in Mandarin speaking and writing is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Technical knowledge: Experience in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) projects is an advantage but not essential.
Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm (lunch 1pm-2pm)
