Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Process / Industrial Engineer to join HKSM Sports Sdn. Bhd., a new international manufacturing facility in Nibong Tebal, Penang.

In this role, you will take the lead in transferring production processes, tooling, and equipment from China to Malaysia, ensuring that all setups meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

You will work closely with our China, HQ, engineering, and production teams to develop optimized process flows, validate equipment performance, and implement continuous improvement projects.

This position offers a rare opportunity to shape the foundation of a growing plant, driving technical excellence and operational readiness for mass production in FY26.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the transfer of production processes, machines, and jigs from China to Malaysia factory.
  • Develop and optimize process flow, layout, and work instructions to ensure smooth line setup.
  • Conduct cycle time, capacity, and productivity studies to meet target efficiency.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation (PFMEA, Control Plan, WI, 8D reports, etc.).
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCCA) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production, QA, maintenance, and HQ teams for technical alignment.
  • Ensure all processes comply with ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 and safety requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 5+ years' experience in process or industrial engineering (plastic molding, assembly, or manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of process flow design, FMEA, control plan, and lean manufacturing.
  • Hands-on in machine setup, tooling verification, and process improvement.
  • Good communication skills in English & Mandarin to liaise with China HQ.
  • Willing to travel for project coordination and overseas training.
