About the role

KUANG YEE IMAGE PRESS SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QA/QC professional to join our team in Nibong Tebal, Penang. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout our manufacturing and production processes. This is a crucial position that directly impacts the success and reputation of our company.

What you'll be doing

  1. Performing thorough inspections and tests on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to identify and resolve quality issues
  2. Developing and implementing quality control procedures, sampling plans, and inspection methods
  3. Analysing data and generating reports to track quality trends and identify areas for improvement
  4. Collaborating with production teams to troubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions
  5. Maintaining accurate quality records and documentation
  6. Providing training and guidance to production staff on quality standards and best practices
  7. Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, standards, and quality management practices

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  2. Proficiency in using quality control tools and techniques, such as statistical process control, Lean, and Six Sigma
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify root causes of quality issues
  4. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  6. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, standards, and quality management practices
  7. Diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, manufacturing, or quality management
  8. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage
