This role provides strategic and operational leadership for the division, overseeing business performance, operational excellence, and long-term growth within the fast-evolving semiconductor and electronics manufacturing sector. The Managing Director will be responsible for strengthening market competitiveness, driving commercial growth, and ensuring world-class manufacturing and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the strategic direction of the Semiconductor Division in alignment with HLI's corporate objectives.
- Identify business growth opportunities, new markets, and partnership possibilities within the semiconductor value chain.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the Group Managing Director and Board on market trends, risks, and emerging technologies.
- Lead business transformation initiatives to enhance competitiveness and operational efficiency.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee full P&L responsibility, ensuring efficient operations, profitability, and sustainable performance.
- Lead production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure operational excellence and consistent product quality.
- Drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and automation initiatives to optimize productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Commercial & Business Development
- Develop and implement commercial strategies that strengthen customer relationships and drive revenue growth.
- Oversee sales, pricing, and contract negotiations to maximize business outcomes.
- Collaborate with R&D and product teams to align innovations with customer and market requirements.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a strong market position.
Leadership & People Development

Qualifications & Experience

- Proven track record in managing full P&L responsibility, with both operational and commercial leadership exposure.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain, and international business development.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, business transformation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
