Purchasing/Planning and Inventory Control Executive

Key Responsibilities

  1. Co-ordinate with the respective factories to actively monitor, plan and purchase the required products needed for replenishing to ensure sufficient stock for production requirements.

  2. Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate capabilities, and maintain an updated supplier database.

  3. Monitor and analyse the product market trends and factors affecting the movement in prices for strategic purchasing decision-making.

4 To review and update the existing and new products' cost and quality to recommend opportunities for cost optimization.

  1. Process purchase order (PO) in the system based on the SOP to allow a timely and smooth operation process.

  2. Coordinate with relevant parties (Examples: suppliers, transporters, forwarding agents, banks) for efficient and effective operation processes, including deliveries, documentations, etc.

  3. Process indent shipping documents, delivery, and unloading of goods to ensure the timely arrival of goods at the plant.

  4. Match invoices with purchase orders and submit to the accounts team on time to ensure the payments are within terms.

  5. Obtain product registrations and relevant licensing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  6. Maintain detailed records of purchases, quotations, and supplier information, supporting audit requirements and decision-making processes.

  7. Monitor and ensure timely submission of purchase orders, maintaining compliance with procurement procedures and authorization protocols.

  8. To perform any other task and assignment as directed by the Management from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Purchasing, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade or related fields.

  2. Fresh graduates with a strong passion for procurement are also encouraged to apply.

  3. Experience in the full procurement cycle; candidates with international trade experience are an added advantage.

  4. Familiar with procurement processes, with strong negotiation skills and data analysis ability.

  5. Able to communicate well in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin would be an advantage as this role requires engaging with Mandarin-speaking suppliers.
