Job Description
- Responsible for managing tax compliance and rendering advisory services to corporate entities and individual taxpayers.
- Provide support for tax advisory services, encompassing the management of tax audit appeals and related matters.
- Coordinate with clients and government bodies, including the IRB, to ensure all queries and issues are effectively resolved.
- Supervise all aspects of statutory tax, including the preparation of calculations and managing relationships with tax agents to guarantee timely compliance.
- Manage the end-to-end process for both internal management tax reports and external statutory tax filings.
- Handle comprehensive withholding tax matters, proactively resolving issues and ensuring all payments meet statutory deadlines.
- Lead various tax-related processes, such as tax forecasting, payment revisions, installment plan tracking, and the successful recovery of tax refunds.
- Ensure the accurate preparation and timely submission of all tax statements, while maintaining a comprehensive record-keeping system.
- Manage the workflow and review the output of junior personnel.
- Monitor and update the tax database, performing regular checks to guarantee data accuracy and reliability.
- Support the Manager/Director on various ad-hoc initiatives and special assignments as required.
Requirements
Education
- Degree in Accountancy.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years' relevant working experience.
- Proven experience in handling tax matters for individuals and companies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of the Income Tax Act.
- Proficient in BiZZTAX and other related tax software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (both spoken and written).
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: RM2, RM3,500.00 per month
