The Job
- Maintains compliance with national and state regulations concerning employment, keeps abreast of changes in HR law to continue to maintain compliance
- Administers and monitors the performance evaluation/review program and revises as necessary. Assists the managers/ supervisors on employee's performance matters, employee relations counseling, disciplinary issues, grievances and others
- Provides support in functional areas of Human Resources including but not limited to employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, training and development and special projects
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all employees; assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures; maintains employee handbook, policies and procedures manual
- Facilitates Employee Learning and Development training
- Processes monthly payroll to ensure that employees are paid accurately and on-time, maintain accurate records of employee payroll information
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll taxes, social security, and other government-mandated reports.
- Supports in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed
- Works closely with the HR Manager as needed on strategic HR initiatives that may include Performance Management, Workforce Planning, Employee Learning and Development, Diversity, Compliance, Exit and/or Compensation-related action items
- Supports and works closely with the HR Manager in HR related matters as and when required
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in every HR discipline is required
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma, Certificate in Human Resources or any discipline
- Well-versed in Employment Acts 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, and HR compliance in Malaysia
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team in a fast pace working environment
- Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
- Quick-thinking, planning, coordinating, and executing skills
- Detail-oriented, excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Experience in handling industrial relations and employee relations issues
- Capability to process full cycle of monthly payroll
- Proficiency in MS Office is a must
- Experience in using Workday, Ignite HRMS System will be added advantages.
