Responsibilities

  • Develop and review plans, drawings, and specifications for electrical works.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Plan and schedule electrical activities to meet project milestones.
  • Liaise with authorities for submission and approval processes.
  • Oversee installation of electrical systems (including ELV and wiring) and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specs, and safety standards.
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems during installation and commissioning.
  • Identify defects or non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and enforce safety measures.
  • Collaborate with consultants and project teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize performance.
  • Manage testing, commissioning, and handover documentation (as-built drawings, O&M manuals, certifications).
  • Evaluate contractor claims and propose value engineering or cost-effective solutions where applicable.
  • Promote the adoption of sustainable and energy-efficient electrical systems.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5–7 years' experience in M&E roles, preferably in high-end residential or serviced apartments
  • Strong technical knowledge in building services (MV, lifts, fire protection, LV, fiber optics)
  • Experienced in project coordination across architecture, structure, and M&E
  • Familiar with construction sequencing, material selection, and local authority requirements (GBI, Green Mark, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and MS Project
  • Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
