Position Title: QA/Test Engineer – Card Management Services

Job Purpose

The QA/Test Engineer – Card Management Services will be responsible for testing, validating, and ensuring the integrity of card management platforms including card issuance, card lifecycle management, transaction processing, and related integrations. The role ensures high-quality delivery of enhancements, new features, regulatory changes, and system migrations within card systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Functional & System Testing

  • Perform end-to-end testing of Card Management Systems covering card issuance, activation, PIN generation, maintenance, hotlisting, blocking, renewals, and closures.
  • Validate card product setup, fee configuration, interest rules, limits, and account mapping.
  • Execute test scenarios for authorizations, settlements, refunds, reversals, and chargebacks.

2. Card Transactions & Processing

  • Test EMV, magnetic stripe, and contactless card transactions.
  • Validate ISO 8583 message formats for issuer and acquirer flows.
  • Ensure correct processing through switches, host systems, and core banking integration.

3. Test Planning & Execution

  • Prepare test strategy, test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices.
  • Perform SIT, UAT support, regression testing, and defect validation.
  • Document defects using tools (JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps, etc.).

4. Integration & API Testing

  • Test interfaces between CMS, card switches, core banking, fraud systems, loyalty systems, and third-party vendors.
  • Validate APIs for card creation, updates, and transaction inquiries.

5. Compliance & Regulatory Testing

  • Test changes related to PCI-DSS, EMV compliance, and regulatory mandates from payment networks (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay).
  • Validate periodic patches, scheme updates, and parameter changes.

6. Automation (If applicable)

  • Develop automation test scripts using Selenium, RestAssured, or equivalent tools.
  • Contribute to automation framework improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–7 years of experience in testing Card Management Systems (VisionPLUS/Way4/Prime/TSYS/FIS/etc.).
  • Strong functional knowledge of credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards.
  • Hands-on experience with card lifecycle processes.
  • Understanding of ISO 8583 messages, EMV specifications, card scheme rules.
  • Experience in SIT, UAT, regression, and integration testing.
  • Familiarity with payment switches, transaction authorization flows, and middleware channels.
  • Proficiency in tools like Jira, ALM, or Azure DevOps.
  • Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with automation tools (Selenium, Postman, JMeter).
  • Knowledge of SQL for backend validation.
  • Experience working with banks, fintechs, or payment processors.
  • Understanding of Core Banking Systems (CBS).

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM7, RM9,000.00 per month
