About the role

We are seeking a talented Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team at Peninsular Steel Galvanising Sdn Bhd. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's sales and business development initiatives. This is a full-time position based in Shah Alam, Selangor, offering a competitive salary and excellent opportunities for professional growth.

What you'll be doing

  1. Proactively identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities within the market
  2. Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
  3. Providing technical expertise and support to clients, ensuring their needs are met
  4. Preparing and presenting sales reports, proposals and pitches to secure new business
  5. Collaborating with the production and CSD teams to ensure seamless delivery
  6. plan and coordinate with factory, office and technical team to solve logistical and technical-related matters
  7. Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to develop effective sales strategies
  8. Achieving and exceeding individual and team sales targets
  9. Attend to customer enquiries when needed; location could be at installation sites or other factory premises
  10. Develop and build multi-channels, e.g., online sales and marketing over time
  11. Assist in developing, update, and improve on sales kit, brochures, and marketing content and material
  12. Provide input to development of in-house products to boost sales
  13. Collaborate with customers to do trading of items when opportunity arises
  14. Follow-up and collect payment from customers
  15. Undergo technical, sales and management-related training

What we're looking for

  1. Ideally from existing sales background with minimum 3 years of experience in similar industry, e.g.: hot-dip galvanising, steel products, building material, hardware, steel coating, engineering or fabrication industry
  2. Energetic and result-oriented candidates are most welcome
  3. Open to discussions with Management
  4. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  6. Candidate with CAD or engineering drawing skills are most welcome
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  8. Necessary to travel from time to time
  9. Candidates that have ready customers are more than welcome
