Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the SME to set up end-to-end media workflows for digital (online) destinations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, installation, and modification of video and audio systems, including SD/HD source formats.
  • Maintain the operational status of digital media software infrastructure and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Support operations in areas related to transcoding, audio description, subtitling, and other video/audio processes.
  • Configure endpoints such as FTP, Aspera, and S3 links.
  • Resolve Trouble Tickets (TT) escalated by engineering or operational teams, including liaising with clients to diagnose and troubleshoot workflow issues.
  • Conduct proactive end-to-end system monitoring to ensure compliance with specifications and take action according to SOPs.
  • Ensure all workflows are fully documented and up to date in the Knowledge Repository (Confluence).

Requirements (in order of priority)

  • Deep technical experience with video/audio equipment and software, including video and audio encoding, compression, and quality control within a content production environment (film, advertising, broadcast, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of transcoding and file creation techniques, including scripting-level proficiency in tools such as Vantage, Cambria, and FFMPEG.
  • Solid understanding of containers, codecs, encoding formats, and current accessibility features.
  • Knowledge of SQL/MySQL databases, SQL scripting, backend testing, and APIs.
  • Bachelor's degree in film technology, broadcast engineering, video/digital engineering, electrical engineering, digital/video production, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, SQL Server, AWS, antivirus systems, and Windows/Linux servers.
  • Experience in TV broadcast, DTT, OTT, or digital media is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
  • Strong ability to prioritize, delegate, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM5, RM6,500.00 per month
