Job Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain
    scalable data pipelines
    for batch and/or real-time processing.
  • Develop and optimize
    ETL processes
    to support data ingestion, transformation and analytics needs.
  • Work with
    Databricks
    and
    Apache Spark
    to process large datasets efficiently.
  • Ensure
    data quality, data governance
    and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to
    gather requirements
    and deliver data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and implement long-term fixes.
  • Manage and optimize data workflows on
    AWS/Azure
    cloud environments.
  • Support regional stakeholders, including
    ANZ
    , which may require early working hours.

Technical Skills

  • Databricks
    : Strong experience developing and optimizing workflows in Databricks.
  • Apache Spark
    : Proficient in batch and real-time data processing using Spark.
  • Programming Languages
    : Advanced proficiency in
    Python
    ,
    SQL
    , and preferably
    Scala
    .
  • ETL Development
    : Capable of designing, developing, and automating robust ETL processes.
  • Data Infrastructure
    : Solid understanding of data lakes, data warehousing concepts, and distributed systems.
  • Data Quality & Governance
    : Familiar with implementing standards, validation frameworks, and governance best practices.
  • Cloud Platforms
    : Hands-on experience with
    AWS
    and/or
    Azure
    for data engineering workloads.
