We are seeking for responsible and dedicated Japanese speakers for a translator / secretary role in a new consulting firm in Kuala Lumpur.

Job Responsibilities

Coordination with Tokyo Office

  • Liaise with staff in the Tokyo office to ensure smooth handover and transition of administrative responsibilities.

  • Support general affairs tasks currently handled in Japan, including:

  • Office lease management

  • Supplies procurement and inventory control
  • Administrative support as needed

General Administrative Support

  • Coordinate and make reservations for client dinners and meetings.
  • Occasional errands such as lunch purchases or other ad hoc tasks.
  • Flexibility to handle miscellaneous administrative duties when required.

Document Review (Language Support)

  • Review internal documents translated from English to Japanese, depending on language proficiency.
  • The focus is not on translating, but on verifying accuracy and clarity of Japanese content. Types of materials may include legal documents, internal manuals, and corporate communications.

Simple Invoice Preparation

  • Use internal systems (in Japanese) to generate and issue invoices.
  • Read and follow Japanese-language manuals to accurately input information into the system.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in any field.
  • Basic Japanese READING Skills (N3 level and above).
  • Working experience in any admin, assistant, secretary field are added advantage.
