Job Title: Mid-level Database Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator Specialist to manage, optimize, and maintain our enterprise database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security across multiple database platforms while supporting development and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain database systems ensuring security and high availability.
  • Set and enforce database policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Assist the application development team in refining logical and physical data models.
  • Monitor and tune database performance.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve database errors and issues.
  • Design, manage, and test database backup and recovery procedures.
  • Work across Linux and Windows environments to support database operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with: MS SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MariaDB/MySQL.
  • Strong command of SQL and DBA tools.
  • Solid understanding of database modeling and architecture.
  • Familiarity with scripting tools (Unix scripts, Windows PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of programming languages: Java, .NET, is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a DBA.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM6, RM6,500.00 per month

Experience:

  • Java, .NET, 2 years (Preferred)
  • DBA: 2 years (Preferred)
  • MS SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MariaDB/MySQL.: 1 year (Required)
  • SQL and DBA tools.: 2 years (Preferred)
  • database modeling and architecture: 2 years (Preferred)
