Mechanical Shift Engineer

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficient in both written & spoken English & Bahasa Malaysia
  • Knowledge in MS Words, Excel & Power Point
  • Working experience in manufacturing environment is and added advantage

Responsibilities

The Mechanical Shift Engineer reports to Deputy General Manager and is responsible for:

  1. Observing and practising safety and hazard free work procedure.

  2. Reporting daily maintenance (repair and service) work activities.

  3. Coordinating with Head of Section in managing maintenance operation effectively and efficiently.

  4. Carrying out the roles of Head of Section in his absent.

  5. Doing planning and preparing maintenance schedule.

  6. Monitoring & reporting the progress of scheduled and routine maintenance work.

  7. Coordinating with person-in-charge of other sections regarding any process problems, product's quality problems and equipment's failure.

  8. Carrying out engineering evaluation & analysis to identify necessary actions to be taken for continual improvement.

  9. Preparing technical report for evaluation & analysis and communicated effectively.

  10. Identifying and solving engineering problems systematically, critically, creatively and analytically by taking appropriate corrections and corrective actions, or preventive actions.

  11. Updating documents and engineering drawings.

  12. Determining & monitoring level of stock for essential spare parts.

  13. Liaising with outside authority concerning utilities (gas and water), suppliers, consultants, DOSH, DOE and etc.

  14. Performing other tasks as requested by superior from time to time.
