Summary of Job Function :

To communicate with customer and disseminate/ coordinate customer enquiries. Explore more sales from existing and new customers

Job Scope:

  • To negotiate or close deal on product pricing.
  • To handle customer complaints and work closely with customer service team for the closure.
  • To coordinate customer RFQ (Request for Quotation) which includes sourcing for unique and exclusive material; quotation for sub-contracting process, service, and tooling; coordinate the feasibility study from respective engineering department; sales follow up after quote submission.
  • To liase and support customer general request e.g. RFI (Request for Information), customer survey, transportation, hotel and dinner reservation concerning customer visit.
  • To conduct market research to identify potential sales lead and coordinate company sales and marketing campaign in international trade show
  • To manage service activities like collection on aging AR (Account Receivable), liability claims on project EOL (End of Life), E&O (Excess and Obsolesces), slow moving material claims, customer ECN (Engineering Change Notice), customer yearly cost reduction, schedule or coordinate regular or ad-hoc conference call with customer.
  • Work closely with FA team to ensure proper handover from RFQ to FA/NPI.
  • Chair weekly RFQ meetings to update CS / other departments on new enquiries.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and support management decisions by providing appropriate cost information and data.
  • Provide cost estimates during change process and and advise of cost impact of changes track and monitor activity.
  • Support supplier meetings and negotiations to challenge quotation prices and aim for cost reductions to meet target costs.
  • Analyze supplier quotes and provide information and data which aids communications with suppliers and customers and achieves cost optimization.
  • Liaise with purchasing department to provide continued feedback to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the superior from time to time.

Preferred

  • A
    Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
    or related field, understanding of mechanical engineering principles and standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details, ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software, ERP systems and other relevant tools is a plus.
