Major Repair Mechanic

Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle maintenance services and repairs on time and with good quality workmanship.
  • Inspect the vehicle's engine, transmission, axle, brake, etc., to discover functionality issues.
  • Clean and apply lubricants to vehicle components.
  • Replenish fluids/lubricants.
  • Inspect and adjust the clutch and brake system.
  • Perform other tasks as per the service manual.
  • Conduct servicing and repairs to ensure vehicles operate at maximum reliability and functionality.
  • Update the superior on work progress, jobs performed, and report any issues.
  • Carry out vehicle troubleshooting on reported problems and resolve them accurately and timely.
  • Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and ensure quality workmanship.
  • Repair, service, build, and assemble vehicle components according to the service manual.
  • Perform overhauling on major vehicle components such as:
  • Engine, transmission, alternator, starter motor, differential, power steering, etc.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g., hydraulic system repair, vehicle painting, etc.).
  • Maintain workshop equipment and tools in good condition
  • Provide accurate estimates (parts to be changed and completion time) for repair or maintenance jobs to the superior.

Requirements:

  • Preferably with SKM Certificate / MLVK in Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
  • Preferably candidates with minimum 1 year working experience as a commercial vehicle mechanic.
  • (Mechanic grading and basic salary depend on individual experience).
  • Candidates with no experience but possess a Certificate in Automotive are encouraged to apply.

Tanggungjawab:

  • Melaksanakan perkhidmatan penyelenggaraan dan pembaikan kenderaan tepat pada masanya dan dengan mutu kerja yang baik.
  • Memeriksa enjin, transmisi, gandar, brek, dan komponen lain kenderaan untuk mengenal pasti sebarang masalah fungsi.
  • Membersih dan melumaskan komponen kenderaan.
  • Mengisi semula cecair dan pelincir kenderaan.
  • Memeriksa dan melaras sistem klac dan brek.
  • Melaksanakan tugasan lain mengikut manual servis.
  • Melakukan penyelenggaraan dan pembaikan bagi memastikan kenderaan berfungsi dengan kebolehpercayaan dan kecekapan maksimum.
  • Memaklumkan kepada penyelia tentang kemajuan kerja, tugasan yang telah dilakukan, dan melaporkan sebarang isu.
  • Menjalankan diagnosis masalah yang dilaporkan dan menyelesaikannya dengan tepat dan segera.
  • Membaiki atau menggantikan bahagian yang rosak atau tidak berfungsi serta memastikan mutu kerja yang berkualiti.
  • Membaiki, menyelenggara, memasang dan membina semula komponen kenderaan mengikut manual servis.
  • Melakukan overhauling pada komponen utama seperti:
  • Enjin, transmisi, alternator, motor pemula, gandar pemacu, sistem stereng kuasa dan lain-lain.
  • Menjalankan tugas lain yang diarahkan (contohnya pembaikan sistem hidraulik, mengecat kenderaan, dan sebagainya).
  • Menjaga peralatan dan kelengkapan bengkel dalam keadaan baik.
  • Memberikan anggaran tepat (bahagian yang perlu diganti dan anggaran masa siap) kepada penyelia untuk kerja pembaikan atau penyelenggaraan.

Syarat Kelayakan:

  • Diutamakan memiliki Sijil SKM / MLVK dalam Kejuruteraan Automotif atau setaraf.
  • Diutamakan calon yang mempunyai pengalaman kerja sekurang-kurangnya 1 tahun sebagai mekanik kenderaan komersial.
  • (Gred mekanik dan gaji asas bergantung kepada pengalaman individu).
  • Calon tanpa pengalaman tetapi memiliki sijil automotif digalakkan untuk memohon.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1, RM3,500.00 per month
