Job Descriptions

  • Primarily responsible for assessment of all credit application, identify risks associated with such exposure and make appropriate recommendations to the relevant AA for approval.
  • Performance Management: a) Manage Credit Underwriting standards and quality. b) Manage Standard Turnaround Time
  • Compliance and Risk Management : a) Apply the Credit Program grading within allowable limits b) Compliance of credit policies and guidelines c) To highlight to Team Lead / Senior Underwriter on any need to improve credit policies and guidelines
  • Ensure timely completion of credit assessment with agreed turnaround time.
  • Assure credit underwriting quality and compliance of policies and guidelines
  • Ensure fast credit decision to support the loans growth.
  • Ensure loan quality maintenance by early detection of credit deterioration via loan reviews / renewal processes.
  • Drive risk culture within risk and business teams
  • Review and sign off credit ratings as per CRR policy.
  • Determine correct AA and ensure credit proposals comply to all internal and external policies.
  • Employee engagement – maintain good interaction and engagement level within BCR and BB as well as across other AmBank Group as a whole.
  • Use the Bank's IDP as a tool to facilitate immediate and long term professional development.
  • Upskilling of personal credit skill set and the team as to drive consistency in credit evaluation & assessment for EB team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in finance/accountancy/economic or related field, or
  • Relevant professional qualification eg. cpa, acca, cima.
  • Certified credit professional or equivalent
  • Min 8 years working experience in banking industry with at least 5 years credit experience in SME and/or Commercial.
  • Front line experience would be an added advantage.
