Role Overview

The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to payroll, training, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
  • Administer monthly payroll with precision, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, income tax).
  • Handle overtime calculations, attendance management, and leave administration.
  • Prepare and maintain HR documentation such as contracts, confirmation letters, and personnel records.
  • Support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and compliance with Malaysian labor laws.
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee training programs, including needs assessment, scheduling, tracking attendance, and maintaining training records.
  • Partner with line managers to identify skill gaps and support performance improvement through learning initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement activities and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters to ensure effective resolution and communication.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of HR experience, ideally within the retail, FMCG, or distribution sector.
  • Sound knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and statutory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll administration and HRIS systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
