About the Role:
As a CBRE Facilities Engineer, you will supervise the team that coordinates with clients, vendors, and contractors to make sure work orders are complete.
This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.
What You'll Do:
- Facility Management: Coordinating events and activities held in the facility. Coordinating contractor site visit held in the facility.
- Maintenance management: Coordinating and scheduling regular maintenance tasks for equipment and systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, etc.). Responding to and resolving urgent maintenance requests and emergencies. Managing service contracts with vendors and contractors. Overseeing and ensuring the completion of repairs and maintenance projects.
- System oversight: Monitor critical building systems, such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, and use Building Management Systems (BMS) to track performance and efficiency.
- Project management: Lead or support facility-related projects, including new construction, renovations, and upgrades. This includes managing budgets, timelines, and coordinating with contractors and internal teams.
- Procurement Process: Receive request (scope of work) from client & technician. Initiate coordination meeting if required. Initiate bidding process with contractors. Compile all result with cost comparison. Send for Facilities Manager approval. Proceed with CBRE quotation. Send to client for PO issuance.
- Compliance and safety: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and standards. Conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any identified hazards. Maintaining records of safety inspections and compliance.
- Troubleshooting: Respond to system failures, malfunctions, and emergencies. Diagnose problems and coordinate repairs with maintenance staff or external vendors to minimize downtime.
- Energy and sustainability: Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives, such as waste reduction programs and optimizing system performance, to lower operational costs and environmental impact.
- Vendor management: Coordinate and oversee the work of external contractors and service providers to ensure quality and compliance with contracts and safety procedures.
- Budgeting: Assist in preparing and managing the budget for facility maintenance, repairs, and capital improvement projects.
- Communication and Coordination: Acting as a point of contact for employees regarding facility-related issues. Communicating effectively with management, staff, and vendors. Maintaining accurate records and documentation of facility activities.
- Asset management: Manage the lifecycle of facility assets, including planning for replacements and refurbishments.

What You'll Need:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial) or facilities management is typically required.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in facility management or engineering is often expected.
- Technical knowledge: A strong understanding of MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) systems, HVAC, and Building Management Systems (BMS) is essential.
- Software proficiency: Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
- Problem-solving: Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to quickly diagnose and solve complex technical problems.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with various teams, management, and contractors.
- Project management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
- Optional Certifications: Professional certifications such as a Professional Engineer (PE) license or Facility Management Professional (FMP) can be beneficial
