Kitchen Crew – Requirements

1. Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a café or restaurant kitchen environment.
  • Proficient in preparing a variety of dishes, especially pasta, brunch items, and side dishes.
  • Strong ability to follow recipes accurately, maintain consistency, and adhere to portion control standards.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new menus, cooking styles, and kitchen techniques.
  • Competent in basic knife skills and familiar with standard kitchen equipment and safety protocols.

2. Work Attitude & Teamwork

  • Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Displays a positive, professional attitude, treating team members and management with respect.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, staying calm and focused during peak service hours.
  • Strong team player who consistently maintains high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.

3. Communication & Language

  • Able to understand and follow instructions in Malay and/or English.
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting kitchen order tickets, recipes, and prep lists accurately.

4. Hygiene & Certification

  • Holds a valid Food Handling Certificate.
  • Typhoid vaccination is preferred.
  • Practices excellent personal hygiene and ensures a clean, sanitary workstation at all times.

5. Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand for extended periods and sustain energy throughout long shifts.
  • Physically capable of handling common kitchen tasks, including lifting, bending, carrying, and food preparation.

6. Schedule & Availability

  • Willing to work split shifts or extended hours, typically from 11:30 AM to 11:30 PM with a 2-hour break.
  • Available to work on weekends and public holidays, with one rest day per week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1, RM2,000.00 per month
