Position Function

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing the overall Quality function to ensure compliance with IATF 16949, customer requirements, and internal quality standards. The role prioritizes candidates with strong automotive quality background, capability in customer complaint handling, and strong leadership.

Position Responsibilities
  1. Quality Management System (QMS)

  2. Develop, implement, and maintain QMS in accordance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, and CE regulatory requirements.

  3. Ensure compliance with IPC and J-STD workmanship standards.
  4. Prepare for and lead internal and external audits.
  5. Quality Control & Assurance

  6. Establish and oversee quality inspection procedures across PCBA manufacturing processes.

  7. Monitor quality performance metrics and ensure effective quality gate controls.
  8. Conduct root cause analysis and manage corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) using structured methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.).
  9. Team Leadership

  10. Lead, coach, and develop the QA/QC team to ensure high competency and performance.

  11. Assign responsibilities, define goals, and conduct performance evaluations.
  12. Continuous Improvement

  13. Drive continuous improvement activities to minimize defects and optimize process efficiency.

  14. Promote use of quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, Control Plan, and DOE.
  15. Customer Complaint & Feedback Handling

  16. Manage customer complaints, analyze failure data, and implement effective corrective actions.

  17. Provide professional technical communication with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related matters.
  18. Regulatory & Compliance

  19. Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, statutory obligations, and safety requirements.

  20. Maintain awareness of latest regulatory changes and customer specification updates.
  21. Documentation and Reporting

  22. Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, audit findings, and corrective action logs.

  23. Present quality performance reports to senior management for decision making.
Position Qualification
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field; relevant certifications (CQE, Six Sigma, ASQ) are an advantage.
  2. Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in PCBA or Electronic Manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of quality systems, methodologies, and tools: 8D, SPC, FMEA, MSA, Control Plan, CAPA.
  4. Practical working experience with IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 standards is required.
  5. Solid understanding of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 13485 / CE requirements.
  6. Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and guide teams.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to resolve complex quality issues independently.
  8. Excellent communication skills in English & Mandarin and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  9. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  10. Commitment to continuous improvement and quality excellence.
