Our client ⁠Halton Group Asia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Costing Executive to join their team
What you'll be doing?
  • Cost Management: Lead costing activities related to manufacturing processes, optimize D365 for cost tracking, and perform in-depth cost analysis.
  • Financial Expertise: Apply cost and management accounting principles to ensure accurate cost allocation, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • System Optimization: Participate in D365 upgrades, system testing, and user training to enhance system performance and user adoption.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Generate insightful reports on costing KPIs and profitability, and assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
  • Inventory and Asset Management: Oversee inventory counts, fixed asset management, and conduct analysis on potential write-off risks.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, production, and supply chain teams to align cost structures with business goals and drive continuous improvement.
Who are they looking for?
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA is preferred, demonstrating your commitment to the field.
  • Relevant Experience: 2-4 years of experience in costing or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment, showcasing your practical knowledge.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Excel, enabling you to effectively manage and analyze data.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with cost accounting methods and management accounting practices, allowing you to contribute meaningfully to financial strategies.
  • Product Understanding: Basic knowledge of product modelling concepts, helping you collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, empowering you to tackle complex challenges and drive process improvements.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively across departments, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Self-motivation: A self-driven and independent approach, allowing you to take initiative and deliver results.
