Area Sales Manager (Northern Malaysia)

Join a fast-growing industry powered by IoT, 5G, and EV technologies We are looking for an energetic and strategic Area Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth in Northern Malaysia. This role combines leadership, customer engagement, and technical sales expertise.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Technical Sales Engineers to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow business in the Semiconductor, SMT, and PCBA sectors.
  • Strengthen relationships with key customers, suppliers, and principals to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Manage key accounts and support the team in project discussions, quotations, and deal closures.
  • Monitor team performance, review sales pipelines, and provide accurate forecasts to management.
  • Identify new business opportunities and stay informed on market trends and emerging technologies.
  • Promote collaboration across teams to deliver customer-focused and value-added solutions.

What you'll need to succeed:

  1. Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Engineering - E&E, Material, Mechanical, Physics, Chemistry or other related engineering fields.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering sales or business development in a Team Lead / Manager capacity, preferably in the electronics, semiconductor, or related industries.
  3. Strong understanding of semiconductor, SMT/PCBA technologies, and IoT/5G/EV markets.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. A go-getter attitude with a hunger to explore business opportunities and close deals.
  6. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Thai, Japanese) is highly advantageous.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to propose technical solutions to meet customer needs.
  8. Willingness to travel and must possess own transport.
