About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Johor Bahru, Johor. This full-time role is integral to the successful delivery of our construction projects, providing expert quantity surveying and contract management support. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key part in ensuring the financial viability and profitability of our projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents
  • Negotiating and administering construction contracts
  • Monitoring project costs and valuations to ensure projects remain on budget
  • Managing the tendering process and evaluating subcontractor bids
  • Providing expert quantity surveying advice to the project team
  • Identifying potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities
  • Ensuring all project financial records and documentation are maintained accurately

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
  • 2+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally in the construction industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and MS Office applications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
