Company background:

  • Our client is an established Food & Beverages company, currently looking for a detailed and responsible candidate to fill the position of Account Receivable Assistant Manager, to be based in Subang Jaya, Selangor.

Job Summary:

  • Oversee the Account Receivable team to ensure timely collections, and accurate reconciliation, while supporting process improvement, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize cash flow and maintain financial accuracy.

Job Descriptions:

  • Set objectives for the accounts receivable team that align with the accounting department's goal.
  • Monitor processing of invoices, credit note & claim.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments & reports.
  • Monitor and reconcile all promotional activities, trade rebates, and marketing claims against approved budgets and agreements.
  • Work closely with the finance and sales teams to ensure all claims are properly supported, submitted on time, and tracked until payment or credit note is received.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular status updates on claim settlement and payment timelines.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct credit checks with sales team.
  • Negotiate with customers in non-payment cases.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc forecasting report for collection.
  • Support Accounts Receivable Clerks daily and train new team members.
  • Stay updated on industry and legislative changes.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Assistant Manager or Supervisor.
  • Well verse in English & Mandarin (due to market needs).
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (Autocount).
  • Familiarity with advanced formulas in MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports.
  • Ability to accurately process numerical data.
  • Team management and negotiation skills.
  • Problem-solving attitude.
  • Confidentiality.
  • Candidate must be willing to work in Subang Jaya, Selangor.
