About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resource Manager to join our dynamic team at Sunway Big Box Hotel in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. As the Human Resource Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's people strategy, ensuring that our workforce is aligned with our business objectives and company culture. This is a full-time position based in our Iskandar Puteri location.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and implement human resource policies, procedures, and programmes to support the organisation's strategic goals
  2. Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, and employee relations
  3. Lead and manage the HR team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective HR services
  4. Collaborate with business leaders to identify and address key talent management challenges and opportunities
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations
  6. Contribute to the design and implementation of employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and productive work environment
  7. Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and make data-driven decisions
  8. Continuously seek opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance the employee experience

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a human resource management role, preferably within the hospitality industry
  2. Strong knowledge of human resource management best practices, including recruitment, employee relations, training, and performance management
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels
  4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and identify creative solutions
  5. Proficient in HR software and data analysis tools
  6. Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  7. Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, CIPD) is a plus
