The key responsibilities include:

  • Involved in overseeing all financial and commercial matters.
  • Involved in the planning and execution of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
  • Monitor and support improvement of financial performance, focusing on gross profit, cash flow, asset management, and financing instruments.
  • Involved in managing projects through the full life cycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring commercial and contractual compliance.
  • Support sales and project initiation phases by analyzing customer requirements and assessing commercial and legal feasibility.
  • Review contract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulations (FRG, NCM, ECC).
  • Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and maintaining accurate SAP and reporting data.
  • Oversee project securities such as guarantees, bonds, and other financial instruments.
  • Ensure compliance with company and local GAAP, while supporting cost control and lessons learned activities.
  • Identify and monitor commercial and financial risks and communicate key contractual obligations to stakeholders.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support profitability, performance tracking, and project governance.

· Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across all business units, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

· Monitor budget and forecast implementation, analyze variances, and deliver timely insights into key drivers.

· Assess business performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial targets and business plans.

· Drive continuous improvements in reporting processes and tools, including automation and dashboard development.

· Ensure adherence to internal controls, corporate policies, and financial reporting standards.

· Ensure accurate month-end closing activities, including preparation and review of the Business Unit's P&L and Balance Sheet.

· Conduct various ad hoc analyses as required for business needs.

· Support internal and statutory audits by preparing required documentation and analysis.

· Review direct and indirect expenses to ensure cost efficiency and transparency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to balance attention to detail and strategic oversight.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in commercial project management, preferably in infrastructure or industrial sectors.
  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) and financial systems (e.g., SAP).

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to RM6,000.00 per month
