Role :
Product Innovation & Development (PID) Chemist (1 Year Contract)

Location :
Subang Jaya, Selangor

Key Responsibilities

  • To carry out product development work based on assigned projects.
  • To work with stakeholders for NPD, technical studies, operational and regulatory supports.
  • To carry out technical studies in system development, ensure product formulation complies to company's quality standard, safety assurance, intended product performance and stability requirements.
  • Proactively tracking and initiating study projects to understand product performance of market new launches.
  • Lead and drive projects independently with minimal supervision
  • Discipline in documentations generation and maintenance.
  • Design and validate experiment protocols to support NPD.
  • Protect the Intellectual Property of the company.

Key Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in Applied Chemistry, Oleo Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a closely related field, with a Second Class Upper Honours or CGPA above 3.50.
  • Good project management, ability to work under pressure and possess a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong technical competency and analytical skillset, capable of generating good Design of Experiment for system development and technical studies.
  • Well organized and detail-oriented in experimental reporting, consistently demonstrates reliability and responsibility.
  • Soft skill expectation - Able to communicate with all levels of people comfortably, Proactiveness, Perseverance and possess an open innovation mindset.

Key Experience:

  • Preferably a minimum of 3 years' experience in R&D inventing, developing and implementing new products, preferably in the
    personal care industry
    .
  • Sensitive to
    FMCG
    market trend, new news in the market for relevant category.
  • Knowledge in R&D Product Realization Process and ability to risk assess the process.
  • Good fundamental in ISO 9001 and its principles.
