Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Junior Inventory Administrator to support our inventory control operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in maintaining accurate stock levels, processing transactions, and generating reports. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in supply chain and inventory management within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Transaction Processing & Data Entry:
- Accurately process all inventory-related transactions in the system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Navision, or custom ERP).
- Record goods received notes (GRN) and goods issued notes (GIN).
- Update stock levels for incoming shipments, returns, and stock transfers.
- Assist in processing customer orders and ensuring accurate allocation of stock.
2. Stock Monitoring & Reconciliation:
- Assist in conducting regular cycle counts (physical stock counts) as per the scheduled plan.
- Investigate and report any discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Support the team in preparing for and executing annual stock-taking exercises.
- Monitor stock levels for slow-moving, obsolete, or fast-depleting items and flag issues to the supervisor.
3. Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain organized and up-to-date inventory records and filing systems (both digital and physical).
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports (e.g., stock status, aging report, transaction summary).
- Assist in generating and analyzing reports to help identify trends and potential issues.
- Ensure all documentation complies with company procedures and standard requirements.
4. Administrative & Operational Support:
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to resolve any inventory-related queries.
- Liaise with the purchasing department regarding stock receipts and discrepancies.
- Assist in the administration of returns to suppliers (RTS) and customer returns.
- Support the team in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse office environment.
- Perform other ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- SPM/STPM, Diploma, or equivalent in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Experience:
- 0 - 1 year of experience in an administrative, data entry, or inventory-related role. Training will be provided.
- Experience with an ERP or Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a distinct advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Numeracy Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is highly desirable.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organized files.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Proficiency in Mandarin or other dialects may be an advantage depending on the stakeholders.
- Team Player: Willingness to learn and collaborate effectively with team members from different departments.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive mindset to identify discrepancies and bring them to the attention of superiors.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1, RM2,500.00 per month
