ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity for a Principal level has arisen to join the Employee Relations (ER).
The purpose of this role is to provide technical expertise in the strategy of, and advisory on, employee and industrial related matters to the business.
In this role, you will:
- Provide expert advice to leaders on a range of complex employee relations matters including workplace investigations, performance management and disciplinary processes and restructures.
- Provide advice and interpretation on employment contracts and Malaysian employment legislation and practices.
- Proactively support and develop line leader capability, to build high performing teams based on trust and direct engagement.
- Support litigation proceedings including the preparation and submission of applications and representing the business in front of the Labour Court and in other jurisdictions.
- Contribute to and execute the ER strategy to deliver optimal business outcomes.
- Support risk assessment and change management activities.
- Work as part of a broader global Employee Relations sub-function within the Human Resources function in a high trust, collaborative and flexible environment.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you must:
- Have demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters in partnership with line leaders. This includes interpretation and application of employment law, ensuring flexibility in your approach to meet business needs.
- Have significant experience in partnering with line leaders and be able to quickly build relationships based on respect, trust and credibility.
- Have the ability to have challenging and difficult conversations with courage, confidence and influence.
- Have excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and outstanding attention to detail.
- Enjoy working within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a large multinational corporate and a professional environment will be highly regarded
