Job Description

To be responsible for the sourcing of Raw/Non-Raw materials requisitions.

  • Carry out the company sourcing activities, mainly the factory equipment and machinery, as well as machinery spare parts and consumables and project tendering.
  • To source for new suppliers when the need arises to achieve cost savings and perform assessments accordingly.
  • Review and timely delivery of raw material sources.
  • To identify material requirements; develop a supply chain strategy, and coordinate Material Quote Analyst.
  • To update the market sourcing information, analyze the quotation and liaise with supplier negotiations for a reasonable and best price in consistent with company strategy.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all purchases and meet the project timeline.
  • Liaise with various departments pertaining to their procurement needs.
  • Evaluate the performance of suppliers on a monthly basis.
  • Organize, maintain and compile records of procurement documents for certification and regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in purchasing exposure from a manufacturing industry.
  • Good knowledge of Procurement strategy and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English well and interact with all levels of people.
  • Self-starter with good interpersonal skills.
  • Good exposure with relevant industrial supplies.
  • Knowledge of material sourcing and development.
  • Knowledge of engineering parts and equipment sourcing.
  • Knowledge on Products commodities.
  • Ability to obtain information about Palm Oil communities' trends and forecasts.
  • Ability to review the work in progress, project work and variation of order.
  • Able to handle the project timeline or task due date including handling suppliers/contractors and internal requestors with timely delivery of materials.
  • Experience in a fast moving manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
  • High integrity, vigilant, accountable and able to work independently with good team player.
  • Computer literate & proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
