Role Description

We're on the lookout for a 
Video Production Lead
 who can bring ideas to life through powerful visual direction and engaging narratives. We need someone who doesn't just shoot and edit, but understands video as a medium to drive emotion, connection, and growth for a business.

At Oblique, you'll lead the creative direction and execution of video content across multiple industries (from retail and lifestyle to corporate brands). You'll work alongside creative strategists, video editors, and performance marketers to craft videos that not only look good but 
help businesses grow their presence
.

This is a 
full-time role based in Kuala Lumpur.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end video production process: concepting, scripting, filming, editing, and post-production.
  • Collaborate with creative and content strategists to translate ideas into compelling video narratives.
  • Manage shoots, ensuring technical and creative consistency.
  • Oversee lighting, sound, and composition to maintain Oblique's high-quality visual standards.
  • Build and manage a scalable video SOP pipeline to meet multi-brand and multi-format needs (ads, reels, talking heads, interviews, etc.).
  • Continuously explore new creative techniques, formats, and trends in storytelling, editing, and motion design.

Who We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in video production or film direction.
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of creativity and business strategy, with the ability to balance aesthetic direction and commercial objectives.
  • Confident in managing a talented team of editors and videographers to ensure quality is met.
  • Understands how storytelling drives brand growth and performance marketing outcomes.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
