Manager, Supply Chain Management

This role oversees the entire supply chain process, including purchasing, production scheduling, order fulfillment, warehousing, shipping, and customs, to ensure high customer service levels and cost efficiency. It requires a strategic, end-to-end approach to optimize internal and external supply chain operations using strong analytical skills. The individual acts as a change agent, driving continuous improvement, particularly within complex electronics manufacturing environments characterized by high mix and low volume products.

Strategic & Tactical Operations

• Develop and execute a robust logistics and supply chain strategy aligned with R&S operational goals, focusing on efficiency, cost optimization, and resilience
• Lead end-to-end logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
• Strategize and drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with procurement, manufacturing, and global stakeholders (e.g., Munich HQ)
• Evaluate and implement technology solutions to enhance visibility, tracking, and reporting across supply chain activities

Daily Operations Management

• Oversee materials and capacity planning, purchasing, internal and external logistics flows, and inventory control
• Ensure efficient distribution operations and production scheduling, including timely maintenance of MHE equipment and tools
• Act as the escalation point for internal functions, driving resolution and countermeasures for operational issues
• Review and optimize processes and agreements with third-party logistics partners
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and customs regulations across all warehouse and logistics activities

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team across warehouse, customs & shipping, planning, purchasing, production scheduling and order fulfillment functions
• Strategize and implement training programs to enhance job skills and foster a high-performance culture
• Plan and manage staff development to build a motivated and capable team

Performance & Compliance

• Establish and maintain KPIs and performance metrics to monitor supply chain health and drive transparency
• Use data-driven techniques (e.g., ABC analysis, cycle counting) to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry regulations governing import/export, transportation, and warehousing
• Conduct regular process checks and audits to ensure customs handling compliance

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time material delivery and proactive risk mitigation

Experience & Knowledge

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration, or in a related field
• You have at least 5-7 years of progressive experience in a supply chain, logistics, or operations leadership role. You can demonstrate a clear history of achieving measurable results, such as cost reduction, efficiency improvements, or enhanced service levels
• You have practical experience in the implementation of Lean or other methodologies
• You have knowledge of ERP systems and applications, preferably in SAP
• You have knowledge of analytical reporting tools and business intelligence reporting system
• Having experience with Malaysian customs programs, such as the LMW (Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse) license, is an advantage
• You understand the local regulatory requirements and can ensure compliance
