About the role

West Borneo Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join our team in Kuching, Sarawak. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of construction projects.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule Development & Management:

  2. Develop and maintain comprehensive Master Work Programmes and detailed project schedules for various phases of work, including infrastructure, road works, structural works, and related construction activities.

  3. Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identify critical path activities, and flag potential delays proactively.

  4. Perform regular schedule updates, revisions, and re-baselining as necessary.

  5. Sequencing & Analysis:

  6. Apply expert knowledge of construction sequences and methodologies, specifically for infrastructure works, road works, and structural works, to ensure schedules are realistic, logical, and optimized.

  7. Conduct schedule risk analysis (e.g., critical path method analysis, resource leveling) to determine potential impacts and propose mitigation strategies.

  8. Reporting & Communication:

  9. Generate various schedule reports, dashboards, and visual aids for project stakeholders and management.

  10. Utilize strong analytical skills to interpret complex schedule data and communicate key findings clearly and concisely.

  11. Prepare and deliver excellent presentations on schedule status, risks, and forecasts during project meetings.

  12. Tender Support:

  13. Assist in the preparation of planning and scheduling components for tender and bid submissions.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 3 years direct experience in planning and scheduling specifically for infrastructure work, roads work, structural works, and/or heavy civil construction projects.
  • Primavera P6 (P6) proficiency is mandatory.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project (MS Project) is a significant advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Exceptional ability to communicate schedule information both verbally and in formal presentations.
  • In-depth understanding of construction processes, sequencing, resource management, and earned value analysis.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
