1. Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for all subsidiaries and business units.
  • Consolidate group financial statements and perform variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Assist in preparing board presentation materials and financial dashboards (Excel or Power BI)
  • Monitor departmental KPIs, financial ratios, and profitability by cost center.
2. Accounting Operations
  • Supervise daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely posting, accuracy, and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Review journal entries, payment vouchers, and staff claims prior to submission for approval.
  • Support month-end closing, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments on billing, collections, and cost allocation.
3. Treasury & Cash Flow
  • Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow reports and forecasts.
  • Monitor group cash positions, banking facilities, and loan repayments.
  • Assist in managing FX transactions, fund transfers, and credit line utilization.
  • Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational and capital expenditure needs.
4. Audit & Taxation Compliance
  • Liaise with tax agents, auditors, and government authorities on statutory submissions.
  • Ensure timely filing of SST, corporate tax, and other statutory obligations.
  • Support the implementation of internal controls and audit recommendations.
  • Maintain compliance with Malaysia's financial reporting standards (MFRS) and company policies.
5. Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Track departmental expenses and monitor cost-saving initiatives.
  • Provide financial insights to support management decision-making.
  • Work with operations and procurement teams on expense optimization.
6. System & Process Improvement
  • Support the digital transformation roadmap — integrating Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power BI, and Dynamics 365 Finance.
  • Participate in automation projects (invoice automation, expense approval workflows, collection reports, etc.).
  • Standardize accounting processes and documentation across business units.
