About the role

Pullman Kuching, a leading hotel in Kuching Sarawak, is seeking an exceptional Assistant Chinese Restaurant Manager to join our team. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our renowned restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving the culinary experiences that our guests have come to expect.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting the Director of Chinese Restaurant in managing the overall operations of the restaurant, including staffing, inventory, and budget management
  2. Supervising and training the restaurant staff to deliver outstanding service and maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation
  3. Developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction
  4. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  5. Collaborating with the culinary team to create and implement innovative menu items and dining experiences
  6. Fostering a positive and productive work environment for the restaurant team
  7. Providing exceptional customer service and addressing any guest concerns or complaints

What we're looking for

  1. At least 3 years of experience in a similar Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager role, preferably in a high-end hotel or fine dining establishment
  2. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  3. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a customer-centric approach
  4. Thorough understanding of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and cost control
  5. Proficiency in financial management and budgeting
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests and stakeholders at all levels
  7. Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
