Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Manager with strong expertise in conveyancing to join our legal firm. The ideal candidate is proactive, takes initiative, demonstrates strong leadership capabilities, and is ambitious to grow together with the firm. This role requires managing legal operations, supervising legal staff, and ensuring high standards of legal service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage conveyancing matters, including SPA, loan documentation, perfection of transfer/charge, and related transactions.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of lawyers, legal executives, and support staff
  • Review, draft, and vet legal documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
  • Act as the main point of escalation for complex legal and conveyancing issues
  • Ensure adherence to legal procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal firm policies
  • Liaise with clients, developers, banks, government bodies, and external stakeholders
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiency within the legal team
  • Demonstrate initiative in identifying business opportunities and contributing to firm growth

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of legal working experience, with strong focus on conveyancing
  • Proven leadership or managerial experience in a legal firm or similar environment
  • Proactive, self-driven, and able to take initiative with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to speak multiple local languages (e.g. English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Cantonese, etc.)
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple files and deadlines
  • Ambitious character with a long-term mindset to grow with the company
