We are looking for an experienced
L3 Support Engineer with a strong background in Payments domain, specializing in REM & ROS systems running on the AS400 platform.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience in COBOL/RPG programming, DB2 database operations, and a deep understanding of ITIL support processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L3 production support for REM & ROS (Payments) applications on AS400.
  • Perform incident, problem, and change management activities in line with ITIL standards.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues within defined SLAs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with L2 teams, developers, and business users for issue resolution and enhancements.
  • Execute and monitor batch jobs, handle job failures, and ensure system stability.
  • Manage DB2 database queries, data fixes, and performance optimization on AS400.
  • Develop or modify COBOL/RPG programs for bug fixes and minor enhancements.
  • Participate in release planning, deployment activities, and post-release validations.
  • Prepare and maintain technical and operational documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6–9 years of experience in application support / L3 support roles.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in AS400 (iSeries) platform.
  • Proficiency in COBOL and/or RPG programming languages.
  • Solid understanding of DB2 databases (queries, stored procedures, data analysis).
  • Good exposure to Payments systems (REM & ROS).
  • Experience with ITIL processes – Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Robot Scheduler).
  • Experience in ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
