(Assistant) Planning Manager

Job Responsibilities

  1. Review Master Production Plan and translate it into material requirements and SAP demand schedules. Adjust plans according to changes in demand.
  2. Manage materials to ensure raw materials and components arrive on time by coordinating with sister plants, contract manufacturers, and procurement. Monitor inventory levels and prevent shortages or excess stock.
  3. Analyze customer demand, material constraints, and lead time to build realistic material plans. Highlight bottlenecks and drive corrective/preventive actions to secure material support.
  4. Work closely with sister plants, production, engineering, EM/CM, procurement, QA, and logistics to resolve any planning issues. Communicate schedule and delivery changes to relevant stakeholders.
  5. Coordinate across departments to ensure shipment readiness and achieve OTD (on-time delivery).
  6. Prepare planning reports and performance indicators for management review. Support continuous improvement projects to improve planning accuracy and operational efficiency.

Requirements & Skills

  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the company.
  • Organized, detail-focused, able to work independently under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in production/material planning, familiar with MRP/ERP systems (SAP is an advantage).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to respond quickly to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
