We are looking for a Senior Developer - Big Data Hadoop to join our team on a 1-year contract basis, working in Kuala Lumpur

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and validate scalable Hadoop-based data solutions
  • Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines across diverse sources
  • Automate data validation, reporting, and reusable analytics scripts
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in end-to-end data integration
  • Configure job schedulers and manage batch processing workflows
  • Provide Level 2 production support for data operations

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 7 to 10 years of hands-on Hadoop development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Scala
  • Expertise in Spark, Hive, MapReduce, and distributed data frameworks
  • Skilled in ETL tools (Talend, Datastage) and RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL)
  • Experience with Linux system administration
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
