About the Role
This role is responsible for driving the growth, productivity, and sustainability of the Takaful agency business. You will lead the development and execution of high-impact initiatives that strengthen the agency network, enhance market penetration of Takaful products, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives. You will serve as a key partner to agency leaders and internal stakeholders, championing innovation, performance excellence, and cultural transformation across the Takaful distribution channel.
Strategic Business Development
- Lead the design and implementation of Takaful agency growth strategies to achieve production targets and expand market share.
- Align agency segmentation and development plans with business objectives to optimize distribution effectiveness.
Performance Management & Insights
- Oversee detailed performance analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide strategic recommendations and data-driven insights to senior leadership and agency heads to drive sustainable growth.
Agency Engagement & Capability Building
- Conduct regular field visits and strategic engagement sessions with agency leaders and life planners to gather feedback and drive alignment.
- Champion capability-building initiatives including recruitment programmes, digital enablement, and Takaful product training.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Compliance, Legal, Actuarial, Marketing) to ensure seamless execution of agency initiatives.
- Act as a senior liaison to resolve complex agency-related issues and foster strong relationships across the organization.
Takaful Expertise & Advocacy
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Takaful offerings, supporting cross-selling strategies and product positioning.
- Lead market intelligence efforts to inform product development, marketing campaigns, and strategic planning.
Organizational Development & Change Leadership
- Drive cultural transformation within the Takaful agency force, promoting innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Lead strategic projects and change initiatives to future-proof the agency business and support evolving market needs.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Islamic Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., AMII, AAII, ACII) is highly desirable.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in agency development, business strategy, or marketing within the insurance or Takaful industry.
- Proven leadership experience in managing strategic initiatives and cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of Takaful principles and market dynamics.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinker with a track record of driving measurable business outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools relevant to agency operations.
