About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Coordinator to join our team at MY NAFCO PRECISION SDN. BHD. in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan. As a full-time Construction Coordinator, you will play a key role in overseeing and coordinating the construction process to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and to budget.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Coordination

Assist in planning and scheduling construction and renovation projects for factory facilities.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure project requirements are clearly defined.

Prepare project documentation, including drawings, specifications, timelines, and status reports.

2. Site Management

Monitor daily construction progress and ensure work is executed according to plan.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with standards.

Identify and report potential risks, delays, or issues, and support corrective actions.

3. Contractor & Vendor Management

Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and managing contractors and service providers.

Verify contractor work quality, material delivery, and adherence to contract terms.

Coordinate site access, permits, and logistics with vendors.

4. Safety & Compliance

Ensure all construction activities follow safety regulations, environmental requirements, and company policies.

Participate in safety audits and ensure proper documentation is maintained.

5. Budget & Documentation

Support cost tracking, purchase requisitions, and budget monitoring for projects.

Maintain updated records, drawings, progress photos, and completion reports.

Assist in preparing handover documents after project completion.

What we're looking for

Degree or diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field

Minimum 3-5 years of proven work experience in Construction Coordination or Site Supervision, preferably within industrial, manufacturing, or heavy civil construction environments.

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills

Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications and other technical documents

Proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and English (speaking, reading, and writing) is a MUST to liaise effectively with our internal management, technical teams, and internal documentation.

Strong knowledge of local Malaysian building regulations, safety standards (DOSH/OSHA), and construction best practices.
