Key Responsibilities
  1. General Ledger Management

  2. Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.

  3. Reconcile accounts (payables, receivables, bank statements) on a regular basis.
  4. Accounts Payable & Receivable

  5. Process vendor invoices, validate supporting documents, prepare payments.

  6. Generate customer invoices, monitor collections, follow up on outstanding debts.
  7. Month‐End & Year‐End Close

  8. Assist in preparing month‑end and year‑end closing schedules.

  9. Prepare accruals, prepayments, and other adjusting entries as needed.
  10. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  11. Produce periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly) for management.

  12. Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
  13. Statutory Compliance & Audit Support

  14. Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards (e.g. MFRS), tax regulations (SST, income tax), EPF/SOCSO, etc.

  15. Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
  16. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

  17. Help maintain robust accounting policies and procedures.

  18. Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to accounting workflows.
  19. Other Duties

  20. Work cross‑functionally with procurement, operations and other departments to resolve accounting issues.

  21. Ad hoc finance‑related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
    • 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar industry.
    • Good working knowledge of accounting standards in Malaysia (e.g. MFRS).
    • Proficiency in accounting software (Autocount) and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong analytical and numerical skills; attention to detail.
    • Good communication skills, capable of liaising with internal departments and external parties (suppliers, auditors).
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Additional Attributes (Preferred)

  • Certified Accountant / pursuing professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA Malaysia).
  • Experience in working with multi‐currency transactions, if applicable.
  • Familiarity with SST filings, Malaysian tax compliance & e-invoicing.
  • Adaptable, proactive, good team player.
  • Mandarin & Bahasa Melayu is a must. English speaking is a bonus.
