Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of HR experience, preferably in plantation or labour-intensive industries.
  • Familiarity with managing foreign workers and statutory compliance is an advantage.
  • Experience handling site/estate HR operations is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

A. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for plantation, estate, and office positions.
  • Prepare and post job advertisements, screen candidates, and conduct interviews.
  • Manage employment contracts, offer letters, and onboarding procedures.
  • Ensure all statutory documents for employees and foreign workers are complete and compliant.

B. HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records, including personal files, attendance, leave, and payroll data.
  • Ensure proper administration of monthly check rolls, overtime, and allowances for estate and office staff.
  • Handle employee leave, benefits, and welfare programs.
  • Support estate managers in staff supervision, performance tracking, and disciplinary matters.

C. Compliance & Statutory Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws, Employment Act, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and other statutory obligations.
  • Maintain documentation and coordinate inspections from regulatory bodies as required.
  • Monitor employee contracts, work permits, and licenses, particularly for foreign workers.

D. Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Assist in performance appraisals, promotions, and salary adjustments.
  • Handle grievance procedures, counselling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct exit interviews and prepare related reports.
  • Foster positive employee relations and maintain open communication channels with all staff levels.

E. HR Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain HR databases, attendance systems, and HR records.
  • Prepare regular HR reports for management review.
  • Generate HR analytics to support decision-making on manpower, productivity, and operational requirements.

F. Training & Development

  • Coordinate with Head Office on internal and external training programs to enhance employee skills and compliance awareness.

G. Special Duties

  • Serve as PIC for foreign worker arrivals, documentation, and compliance with immigration requirements.
  • Assist with specific administrative tasks, such as vehicle licensing, road tax, and office infrastructure management.
  • Support ad-hoc HR and administrative projects as assigned by management.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of Malaysian labour laws, Employment Act, Sabah/Sarawak Labour Ordinance, and relevant statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, LHDN).
  • Familiar with HR systems (attendance, leave, payroll, manpower reporting).
  • Ability to manage recruitment for site-based positions and handle end-to-end hiring processes.
  • Competent in handling disciplinary matters, domestic inquiries, and employee relations.
  • Able to maintain and update HR documentation, SOPs, and compliance reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience managing attendance, overtime verification, and manpower movement for estate operations.
  • Ability to coordinate staff welfare, accommodation, hostel matters, and statutory inspections.
  • Experience handling field workers' records, contract/foreign workers, and contractors' documentation.
  • Able to support managers on HR policies and labour compliance.

Soft Skills & Behavioural Competencies

  • Willing to travel to estates/sites when required.
  • Possess a valid driving licence (D).
  • Able to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently at remote locations and adapt to plantation environments.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Pay: RM2, RM3,500.00 per month
