Mills Recruitment is partnering with a multinational manufacturing company headquartered in China, currently expanding its business operations in Senai, Johor, Malaysia. This role offers fresh graduates and early-career professionals an exciting opportunity to be train in China (6–12 months) and grow into key engineering roles.

Assistant Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical / Automation /Software)

Role Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Engineers to join our team in various engineering disciplines. Successful candidates will undergo a 6–12 month professional training program in China before assuming full-time roles at our Senai, Johor facility.

This position is ideal for recent graduates or young professionals who are eager to develop their technical and professional skills in a multinational, high-technology manufacturing

environment.

Available Disciplines:

I. Mechanical Engineering

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical components.

• Create and update 2D/3D engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOM).

• Support troubleshooting activities and daily technical operations under the guidance of senior engineers.

• Collaborate on product improvement and cross-departmental engineering projects.

II. Electrical Engineering

• Assist in designing and implementing electrical systems and control circuits.

• Prepare wiring diagrams, assembly manuals, and BOM documentation.

• Participate in troubleshooting electrical issues and improving system reliability.

• Support coordination between design, production, and quality departments.

III. Process Engineering

• Support production process development, optimization, and documentation.

• Assist with new product introductions, equipment troubleshooting, and process improvements using LEAN principles.

• Work closely with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Maintain technical documentation and daily process support.

IV. Software Engineering

• Assist in developing and testing PLC control software and automation systems.

• Support integration of software with hardware for automated equipment.

• Participate in R&D projects related to smart manufacturing and industrial

automation.

• Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and system specifications.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Software, or related field).

• Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience are welcome.

• Mandarin proficiency is required (must be able to communicate effectively in

Chinese).

• Internship or project experience in technical support, equipment maintenance, or customer service is an advantage.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning capabilities.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a proactive attitude.

• Detail-oriented, responsible, and willing to follow standard procedures

• Willing to undergo training in China for a period of 6–12 months.
